Since last year, I became more self-conscious about my skin. However, this year, I decided to take it one step further. By nature, wrinkle lines begin to appear from the age of 25 years and above, but with proper skincare, it’s possible to reduce its appearance. Also, with my line of Job – as a medical doctor – my skin mostly looks tired, dull and tight because of lack of adequate sleep, stress etc. With my step by step skincare routine, my skin has been glowing and face, acne free for over 5 months. Below are what I do to keep the glow – inclusive of my skin care routine and top skin products;
Morning Routine:
– Cleanser: Tea tree foam wash
– Toner: Ehuoma Essentials Rose water and Clean and clear salicylic acid.
– Eye serum: Dr Rashel vitamin c eye serum
– Serum: Ehuoma Essentials Hyaluronic Acid and Radha beauty Vitamin C.
– Moisturizer and SPF: Neutrogena healthy defense daily moisturizer with spf 50 or Neutrogena city shield lotion with spf 25.
– For my body: Ehuoma Essentials Natural body butter with lavender and vitamin E oil.
Night Routine:
Makeup/Sunscreen Remover: L’Oréal age perfect Micellar water or Ehuoma Essentials micellar water
Cleanser: Simple cleansing oil or Eucerin Cleansing gel
I also use Urban RX 3 in 1 cleansing bar on alternate days.
Toner: Ehuoma Essentials Witch hazel and The ordinary 7% glycolic acid toner.
Serum: Ehuoma Essentials Snail mucin and Radha beauty vitamin C serum
Treatment: The ordinary Niacinamide +Zinc serum , Retin A.
Moisturizer: Ehuoma Essentials Night time oil.
For my Body: Neutrogena Sesame body oil or Ehuoma Essentials Body Oil infused with Argan and Shea oils.
The extras:
Twice weekly, I scrub my face with either of the St Ives Apricot and Orange scrub or St Ives Acne control scrub.
I have followed this routine for a while now and have noticed significant improvements. My hyper pigmentation is clearing out gently, my skin looks very healthy and my wrinkle lines are reducing.
Another important skin care routine is to try and sleep for at least 6 hours as well as drink adequate amounts of water. I tend to forget to drink water so I have an app “Flo” which reminds me to drink water every 2 hours.
It’s very possible to have younger, healthy skin. It’s also very possible to be hyper pigmentation and acne free.
