The Nigeria Nurses Charitable Association UK (NNCAUK) has announced its highly anticipated 2026 Annual Global Scientific Conference, scheduled to take place at the Legacy Centre of Excellence, Birmingham, United Kingdom, from 15 to 18 October 2026. The association supports professional development, mentorship, networking, advocacy, charitable initiatives, and community engagement while promoting excellence in nursing, leadership, and healthcare delivery.
Widely regarded as one of the leading professional gatherings for Nigerian nurses and midwives in the diaspora, this conference will provide a platform for scientific exchange, thought leadership, networking, and collaboration. Also, fostering meaningful discussions on the present and future of healthcare practice, nursing leadership, workforce development, public health, and healthcare innovation.

Participants will engage in keynote presentations, scientific sessions, oral and poster abstract presentations, panel discussions, leadership conversations, professional development workshops, and networking opportunities designed to strengthen partnerships and inspire healthcare transformation. Speaking ahead of the conference, Wendy Olayiwola, President of NNCAUK and National Maternity Lead for Equality at NHS England, highlighted the importance of this event:
“This conference creates a global forum where nurses and other healthcare professionals can share experiences, showcase research, and foster partnerships that contribute to healthier communities and stronger health systems. As healthcare continues to evolve, it is increasingly important that we create opportunities for collaboration, learning, innovation, and leadership that drive meaningful impact both locally and globally.”
A major highlight of the conference will be the NNCAUK 2026 Recognition Awards, which will celebrate nominated Nigerian nurses and midwives whose achievements in leadership, research, education, clinical practice, public health advocacy, mentorship, community service, and innovation continue to make a significant impact in the United Kingdom and beyond.
